Lead AI Engineer Senior Software Developer

We are recruiting an ambitious Lead AI Engineer to join our IAG technology team. You'll be instrumental in shaping our tech infrastructure, defining the strategic direction of our platforms, and overseeing their execution. This hands-on role involves leading the design and implementation of AI systems with a keen focus on scalability, efficiency, and impact.
You'll work with a skilled engineering team, foster cross-disciplinary cooperation, and play a key role in strategic planning. Your leadership will empower the team to make critical decisions and take full responsibility for innovative projects, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across engineering and business domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI solutions that are scalable, performant, and aligned with business goals.
- Lead the integration, development and operationalization of AI models and algorithms, ensuring they meet top MLperf quality standards.
- Drive the adoption of cloud technologies and DevOps practices within the AI team, optimizing deployment and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentor and develop a team of AI engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI, Cloud, and DevOps trends and technologies, applying them to solve complex problems.
Qualifications:
- Good expertise in AI, machine learning algorithms, and data science.
- Strong Experience in React and Angular programming languages.
- Basic Experience in Python, Java and JavaScript programming languages.
- Proven experience in DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and lean startup principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- A master’s degree in computer science, AI, mathematics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in AI projects, with a focus on deployment and scalability in cloud environments.

Must Have
- Python, Java and JavaScript experience

- Proven DevOps and Cloud experience (AWS or Azure).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in AI
- Perfect written English
- Highly creative and autonomous
- Valid work permit for Belgium
